Having a side hustle for Work At Home Mom’s (WAHM’s) can appear to be the ideal situation. But before you jump in, you should have a good understanding of what you are committing to and the challenges that accompany being a WAHM.

Most WAHM’s love the fact that they are their own boss, get to choose who they work with and when. The flexibility allows time to be present with their kids, be active at school and enjoy doing some social events with friends during the day and still get their work done.

While there are a long list of positives, working at home also presents some challenges. Finding the best time (and a quiet place) to work, convincing others (as well as your spouse sometimes) that you are in fact working, attracting new business, avoiding distractions and trying to balance work/life balance at the same time as battling isolation are all challenges that WAHM’s face. But if being a WAHM is for you, chances are you won’t ever want to do anything else for the rest of your life!
